We offer a unique combination of government experience and facilities expertise that has helped us earn a position as one of the country’s leading integrated service providers.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>EMCOR Government Services is seeking an <strong>Environmental, Safety, and Quality Performance Manager (ESQP Manager) in Arlington, VA </strong> to lead and manage the ESQP programs for a facilities management contract supporting an important and long-term client, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).The scope includes two unique and high-visibility sites, one in Arlington, VA and the other in Washington, D.C.</p>\n<p>Working hours may occasionally include evenings and weekends since this is a 24/7/365 operation.</p>\n<p>*There is a free shuttle running between the two locations every hour and it is approximately a 15-minute trip one-way.The ESQP Manager is tasked with planning, coordination, and implementation of the contract’s safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy environment; ensure regulatory compliance; and control or reduce hazards and exposures detrimental to people, the facilities, and/or the environment.</p>\n<p>This person performs quality control checks on facilities’ work performed and ensures compliance with work processes, the requirements of company, customer, and International Organization for Standards (ISO) standards.</p>\n<p>Reports to Project Manager for on-site activities/operations as well as programmatically to EGS’ corporate ESQP Director.</p>\n<p>A successful candidate will have knowledge of applicable safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations to include but not limited to ISO, OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA, and Virginia/Washington, DC fire codes.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#EGS</p>\n<p>#LI-NS1</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The responsibilities of personnel in this position include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides administrative and technical direction regarding all corporate safety and health programs, procedures, and policies.</li>\n <li>Takes direction from the ESQP Department implementing and monitoring key policies and programs.</li>\n <li>Performs risk assessments and pre-task planning activities.</li>\n <li>Performs safety and quality control inspections/quality activities, maintain and update all Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information, analyze data/reports, and make recommendations for improvements.</li>\n <li>Facilitates a Quality Control Program that emphasizes on-going systematic analysis of potential problems with equipment or system failures through inspections and audits of services/work performed by EMCOR and subcontractors for compliance within contract requirements and expectations.</li>\n <li>Ensures that the procedures, technical manuals, and contractual requirements are complied with when performing inspections, configuration changes, alterations, testing, and refurbishment operations.</li>\n <li>Documents corrective actions required when compliance violations of approved ESQP practices and procedures are noted and perform follow-up observations when necessary.</li>\n <li>Develops trend analysis data of preventive maintenance, service calls and maintenance repairs for monitoring and problem identification.</li>\n <li>Responds to all Government Quality Audits, both Satisfactory and Unsatisfactory. Investigate complaints and report findings to both Project Manager and Corporate Safety Department.</li>\n <li>Conducts safety training and ensures personnel performing assigned tasks are qualified and certified as required.</li>\n <li>Reviews and maintain accurate data for all training certifications and corresponding expiration dates.</li>\n <li>At the beginning of each month, provide a written technical report to the Corporate Level and a copy of the technical report to the customer, concerning all processing and procedure deficiencies, technical problems, safety issues, and/or potential problems.</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Minimum of four (4) years’ safety experience on facilities/trades type contracts, preferably in support of a federal government customer.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Minimum of two (2) years’ quality control experience on facilities/trades type contracts, preferably in support of a federal government customer.</strong></li>\n <li>Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of quality control concepts and procedures, specifically applicable to building alterations, operational equipment, and systems.</li>\n <li>Must possess the skill and knowledge to interpret and apply specifications to equipment.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and CMMS software.</li>\n <li>Must have knowledge of such programs as preventive maintenance, service calls and maintenance repairs applicable to a building environment.</li>\n <li>Experience with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) codes and standards.</li>\n <li>Must be a United States Citizen</li>\n <li>Must fluently speak, read, and write the English language.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<p>Light to moderate physical exertion is required in lifting and carrying items weighing from 10 to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting over 50 pounds with assistance.  The position requires long periods of standing, stooping, climbing, and working in areas of operating equipment.  Work is performed throughout the buildings and some outside work may be required.
