&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong>PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB:</strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>Teaches in discipline in which s(he) has specific training and competence. &nbsp;Carries out duties and responsibilities that are designed to contribute to the achievement of the established outcomes for the undergraduate programs.</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>&nbsp;</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong>SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:</strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>Responsibilities include clinical instruction within content areas of expertise, participation in curriculum development, facilitating the procurement of clinical sites for clinical experiences, and advising students. &nbsp;The successful candidate is also expected to participate in scholarship and service activities that are proportionate to their employment status. &nbsp;The faculty is accountable to the Director of Undergraduate Programs for carrying out the duties and responsibilities designed to contribute to the achievement of the established objectives of the University and SON.</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>&nbsp;</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:undefined;\"><li>Facilitates in and contributes to the development of course curriculum, syllabus, course handouts, lectures, labs, and presentations.</li><li>Develops syllabi, course handouts, lectures, labs, and presentations.</li><li>Submits digital copies of syllabi and course handouts to Director of Undergraduate Programs each semester.</li><li>Teaches courses according to University catalog descriptions and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes.</li><li>Documents students&rsquo; attendance, participation, and academic progress by giving and grading assignments, projects, quizzes and / or examinations that lead to a final grade.</li><li>Assigns and posts grades according to University guidelines.</li><li>Maintains course / student records in accordance with FERPA regulations and submit grades and records by established deadlines.</li><li>Schedules, supervises, debriefs, and evaluates students in clinical, internship, observation, field experience, and similar settings as appropriate for the course or program.</li><li>Meets all classes and other scheduled responsibilities such as office hours and meetings at the designated times.</li><li>Posts and keeps on campus hours to facilitate interaction with students, other faculty, staff, administrators, and the public. &nbsp;</li><li>Participates in program level learning assessment. &nbsp;Participation includes helping articulate learning outcomes, evaluating student performance, and suggesting changes to improve student learning.</li><li>Contributes to developing and monitoring SONHS long-range and annual plans.</li><li>Cooperates with other faculty in carrying out activities designed to enhance the quality of the instruction, scholarship and public service programs of the SONHS / University.</li><li>Participates in the development and implementation of academic policies, guiding principles, objective and functions in accordance with the philosophy of the school.</li><li>Participates in summative and formative faculty evaluation process.</li><li>Remains current in academic or program discipline, including maintaining licensure, certification, or continuing education requirements where appropriate.</li><li>Receives training or stay current in technological or pedagogical advances that promote student learning.</li><li>Participates in university professional development activities.</li><li>Serves on standing ad hoc committees, advisory boards, hiring committees, faculty, senate, or as a student organization advisor.</li><li>Attends local, regional, state, or national meetings where required or necessary for the discipline.</li><li>Mentors and assists in orientating new faculty, either formally or informally where appropriate or required by department or division.</li><li>Attends commencement or other ceremonies appropriate to the faculty member&rsquo;s discipline or program.</li><li>Attends divisional and college-wide meetings where appropriate or as required by supervisor.</li><li>Is familiar with and maintains behavior and actions consistent with University and SONHS policies.</li><li>Assures that student evaluations are administered near the end of each semester.</li></ul><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>&nbsp;</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong>OTHER DUTIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><ul style=\"margin-bottom:0in;list-style-type: disc;margin-left:undefined;\"><li style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'>&nbsp;</p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:undefined;\"><li>A Master&rsquo;s Degree in Nursing is required;
