This role is open in New York city, NY.</span></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced&nbsp;engineer to manage and drive business expansion through an engineering lens. Working closely with a cross-asset desk as we design, architect, and build a state-of-the-art platform to empower extensive reporting capabilities, research, and real-time analytics, in support of our new global, multi-asset trading organization.</span></span></p><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:&nbsp;</span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Architecture &amp; Design Leadership: Play a lead role in the design, architecture and implementation of trading, sales, and operations workflows, ensuring alignment with business goals and engineering best practices.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Trade-Flow Platform Development: Design and build flexible, scalable trade-flow software capable of handling diverse client-side and OMS-side integration patterns and high-throughput scenarios.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Trading, Operations, and Engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Technology Innovation: Work alongside a cross-functional engineering team to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, contributing to a modern, high-performance technology stack.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">AI-Driven Automation: Champion an AI-first mindset by driving automation initiatives, intelligent code refactoring, and the adoption of AI tooling to improve developer productivity and system efficiency.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Engineering Excellence: Deliver well-designed, testable, secure, and performant code through hands-on programming, rigorous code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Production Support: Provide second-level production support, troubleshoot complex system issues, and contribute to incident resolution and post-mortem processes.</span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Mentorship &amp; Technical Leadership: Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical growth, and engineering craftsmanship.</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:&nbsp;</span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.</span></span></li><li style=\"color: black;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Industry Experience: 14 plus years of experience designing, building, and delivering real-time, scalable, and resilient software applications within Financial Services or similarly complex, high-throughput domains.</span></li><li style=\"color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Data &amp; Persistence: Strong command of relational and analytical database technologies, e.g., KDB / ClickHouse / Oracle, with experience in data modelling, query optimization, and large-scale data management.</span></li><li style=\"color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Messaging &amp; Middleware: Hands-on experience with messaging and middleware technologies such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, FIX protocol, with an understanding of event-driven and asynchronous system design.</span></li><li style=\"color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Agile Delivery: Solid understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a proven ability to deliver in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments with shifting priorities.</span></li><li style=\"color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Communication &amp; Leadership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
