    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Summer Groundskeeper</p><p><br></p><p>Westtown School is seeking general Groundskeepers for temporary seasonal work, beginning</p><p>immediately through mid-to-late August. Groundskeepers are responsible for maintaining the</p><p>campus grounds and recreational areas. The regular hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday</p><p>through Friday.</p><p>Westtown School is a Quaker independent pre-K to 12, college-preparatory day and boarding</p><p>school located in suburban West Chester, PA, approximately 30 miles from Philadelphia.&nbsp;</p><p>Situated on a beautiful 600-acre campus, Westtown offers state-of-the-art facilities where our</p><p>committed faculty and staff inspire and prepare our students to be stewards and leaders of a</p><p>better world.&nbsp;</p><p>Essential Responsibilities</p><p>● Mow grass, prune and trim shrubs and trees, and apply mulch;</p><p>● Operate a tractor, loader, and other facility vehicles;</p><p>● Weed flower beds and attend to landscaped areas;</p><p>● Plant trees/shrubs and annuals, as directed;</p><p>● Assist in maintaining athletic fields and recreational play areas, including layout, lining,</p><p>mowing, seeding, fertilizing, etc.;</p><p>● Assist with the removal and disposal of trash and debris;</p><p>● Maintain campus driveways and parking lots;</p><p>● Provide support and manpower to other campus departments as necessary;</p><p>● Maintain knowledge of school property and staff as necessary to perform assigned</p><p>duties;</p><p>● Report unsafe conditions or suspicious activity as necessary;</p><p>● Remain committed to safe work practices and energy conservation at all times;</p><p>● Participate in departmental meetings/training as necessary;</p><p>● Maintain professional and appropriate relations with all students and parents at all times;</p><p>● Other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>● Prior experience in the care and maintenance of similar facilities is preferred</p><p>● Ability to work within the overall organization of the Facilities department and work with</p><p>skilled and unskilled personnel</p><p>● Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions</p><p>● Must have a valid Driver&rsquo;s License</p><p><br></p><p>Physical Requirements:</p><p>● Lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
