The Thermal Department in York, PA is the leading service provider for all third party fenestration testing needs. Feel confident in joining a team on the leading edge of customer service and knowledge in the field! <strong>Thermal Technician</strong> will&nbsp;perform&nbsp;physical thermal testing a variety of fenestration (windows and doors) products. This is an entry level, hands-on position in a team environment. <strong>On-the-job training</strong> provided and excellent opportunities for growth offered. We’re looking for an individual who can perform tasks with limited supervision while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity all with a keen eye and attention to detail.</p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist current staff with test sample setup, breakdown, and disposal following all associated standards and methods</li><li>Self-manage all assigned jobs through internal job network (test dates, invoicing, etc.)</li><li>Analyze test results and write accurate and concise test reports that summarize the test procedures and results</li><li>Communicate with clients regarding scheduling, procedures, and results</li></ul><p><strong>What it takes to be successful in this role:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Experience using hand tools - preferred</li><li>Technical and mechanical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and results</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend client provided drawings, specifications and details</li><li>Previous forklift training/certification - preferred</li><li>Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and functionality</li><li>Physical ability to stand for an extended period of time, climb stairs/ladders (bend, lift, crawl, stoop, reach overhead or behind you)</li><li>Understanding of how to read and use a tape measure accurately</li><li>Ability to lift &nbsp;50 pounds</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;Intertek: Total Quality.
