The firm&#39;s expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, construction and design professionals, general liability, and commercial litigation. We approach litigation as a unified team, integrating our efforts with those of our clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Our goal is always to deliver optimal results at the best possible value.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Independently manage an active litigation caseload, from inception to trial.</li><li>Interface with clients and insurance professionals.</li><li>Conduct and defend depositions.</li><li>Retain and work with expert witnesses.</li><li>Engage in written discovery.</li><li>Draft motions and oppositions, and argue same at hearings.</li><li>Negotiate settlements independently and at mediation.</li><li>Evaluate liability and damages issues and prepare exposure evaluations.</li><li>Trial preparation and support.</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely time records.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Candidate Requirements:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>A minimum of five (5) years of experience representing clients in construction and/or design professional litigation.&nbsp;</li><li>Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.</li><li>Must be admitted to practice in MA with admission in other New England states preferred.</li><li>Interest in construction projects.</li><li>Capable of independent work.</li><li>Work in an organized and efficient manner.</li><li>Superior research and writing skills.</li><li>Ability to multi-task.</li><li>Ability to analyze complex matters.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Why Should You Apply?</u></strong></p><p>Our associates work closely with our senior lawyers and clients on challenging work in an entrepreneurial and collegial environment.
