TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Level II Trauma Center </li>\n <li>Primary Stroke Center </li>\n <li>Level III Neonatal Intensive Care </li>\n <li>Pediatric Intensive Care </li>\n <li>The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. </p>\n<h2>HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT</h2>\n<p>The Nurse extern role is designed to provide a learning opportunity for students by acquiring basic clinical skills and advancing their knowledge related to patient care. </p>\n<p>Performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN). </p>\n<p>Responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living and for maintaining an environment conducive to the patient's safety.</p>\n<h2>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Eligibility & Requirements:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program;</li>\n <li>Must have successfully completed at least <strong>one (1) clinical semester</strong> of the core curriculum;</li>\n <li>Active American Heart Association CPR/BLS – Healthcare Provider card;</li>\n <li>Able to maintain flex requirements of 32 hours per month, with one weekend shift, and one major holiday in the summer and one major holiday in the winter;</li>\n <li><strong>Acceptance of a Nurse Extern position requires the completion of mandatory hospital Orientation for a full week, Monday-Friday 8a-5p.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Work Hours/Shift:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Flexible based on unit need and colleague availability</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For questions about your job application please <strong>contact</strong>: [email protected] </p>\n<h2>-</h2>\n<p><em>Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
