We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.</p><p><strong>Featured Benefits:</strong></p><p>•&nbsp;<strong>Committed to Team Member Health:</strong>&nbsp;offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.</p><p>•&nbsp;<strong>Retirement:</strong>&nbsp;Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.</p><p>•&nbsp;<strong>Tuition and Student Loan Assistance:</strong>&nbsp;offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.</p><p>•&nbsp;<strong>Mental Health Support:&nbsp;</strong>offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.</p><p>•&nbsp;<strong>Work/Life Balance:</strong>&nbsp;offering paid time off, paid parental leave, flexible work schedules.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>INPD Instructor Job Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>RN will receive hand-off from clinical mentor at assigned campus with a list of newly hired RNs that may need extra support, new graduates could be assigned in any specialty area so experience and support provided will be general in nature.&nbsp;RN will also support Bootcamp for New Grad nurses.</p><p>Some examples of assistance needed could include:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Enhancing communication skills- Formulating messages for providers</li><li>Time management skills</li><li>Talking through a new skill</li><li>Providing resources deferring to expertise</li><li>Increase confidence in decision making</li><li>Assist with ability to prioritize</li></ul><p>This is an evolving role, and the expectation is to provide positive ongoing support to our new grads while role modeling Inova’s values.</p><p><strong>New Graduate Boot Camp</strong>: four-hour course&nbsp;provided to all new graduate RNs&nbsp;and international nurses to help increase confidence and competency in skills such as prioritization, delegation, and de-escalation. The Boot Camp is held Wednesdays from 0715 – 1215 shift and an occasional PM shift from 1300 – 1800.</p><p>Hours:&nbsp;PRN; Monday-Friday (4pm - 10pm) and Saturday/Sunday (10am - 4pm).&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Schedule requirement: at least 1 day per week plus 1 weekend shift every third week in addition to 2 boot camp sessions per quarter.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Location:&nbsp;Inova Alexandria Hospital (Primary) and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital (Occasional)</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><strong>Education</strong>: Bachelors Degree in Nursing</li><li><strong>Experience</strong>: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty</li><li><strong>Certification</strong>:&nbsp;BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Relevant experience serving as a preceptor</li><li>Over 2 years of recent inpatient RN experience ( Cardiac/Tele preferred)</li></ul>",
