This can include lifesaving treatments, monitoring vitals, checking O2 levels, and handling any situation that comes up.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>The main duties of an EMT at Life Ride include non-emergency transportation of patients to hospitals and other medical facilities, driving emergency vehicles safely, responsibly and quickly, and being responsible for patient care.</li>\n\t<li>Must wear and handle personal protective equipment and follow social distancing/CDC guidelines</li>\n\t<li>Must be capable of lifting 100-150 pounds.</li>\n\t<li>Must be capable of working up to 12 hour shifts.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Other essential duties and responsibilities for an EMT include:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Provide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds.</li>\n\t<li>Provide basic life support, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), when needed.</li>\n\t<li>Assess a patient’s conditions and provide initial treatment.</li>\n\t<li>Determining if a patient needs to be transported to an ER or trauma center.</li>\n\t<li>Work 12-hour shifts in all weather conditions.</li>\n\t<li>Communicating with additional dispatch resources such as ALS .</li>\n\t<li>Documentation of each call, such as timestamps, vitals, and patient condition is essential.</li>\n\t<li>Ensuring ambulances are fully stocked before and after each shift by conducting a thorough rig check.</li>\n\t<li>Checking and testing all ambulance equipment before and after each shift, including but not limited to, stretcher, sirens, emergency lights, blinkers, and oxygen.</li>\n\t<li>Restocking used supplies.</li>\n\t<li>Checking expiration dates on all supplies and medications.</li>\n\t<li>Disinfecting ambulances after calls.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Regular reasons for transport include:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Emergency Room Admissions</li>\n\t<li>Transports to and from:</li>\n\t<li>Dialysis Centers Chemo Appointments</li>\n\t<li>Wound Care Appointments</li>\n\t<li>General Doctor Appointments</li>\n\t<li>Psych Related Admissions/Transfers</li>\n\t<li>Discharges</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhvATsdAznI&amp;feature=youtu.be</p>\n\n<p>Job Type: Full-time, Part-Time or Per Diem.
