From cloud and data to AI, risk, and core business technologies, teams in Pune&nbsp;will&nbsp;lead&nbsp;high&nbsp;impact work with a global mandate.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>IT Security Technology</b></p>\n<p>Jefferies’&nbsp;IT Security Technology&nbsp;/&nbsp;Global Information Security (GIS)&nbsp;team&nbsp;protects the firm’s critical systems, sensitive information, and global operations against evolving cyber threats. GIS partners with Technology, Operations, Corporate functions, and the Business to embed security into day-to-day operations while supporting productivity, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience. GIS balances strong controls with efficiency and&nbsp;operates&nbsp;globally across the&nbsp;US, EMEA, and APAC&nbsp;to provide round-the-clock coverage.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Role Overview</b></p>\n<p>Jefferies is seeking a Platform Security Engineer to protect enterprise platforms using endpoint security technologies, with a primary focus on Endpoint Detection &amp; Response (EDR), anti-malware, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). The role requires hands-on, multi-disciplinary experience across servers, workstations, laptops, virtual machines, and thin clients running Windows, Linux, and UNIX.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>You will work closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and other security teams to provide operational support, deliver new initiatives, ensure high availability, and drive upgrades/enhancements. This is an opportunity to help shape and mature Jefferies’ platform security capabilities and roadmap.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Administer and provide operational support for endpoint security technologies (EDR, anti-malware, DLP).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Create and maintain documentation including runbooks, design documents, and configuration standards.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Perform regression testing and analysis for endpoint security platforms and updates.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Follow release management best practices for deployments, enhancements, and upgrades.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Partner with SOC and security teams during investigations, containment, and remediation efforts.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conduct deep log analysis, fault isolation, and root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Drive automation to continuously monitor and maintain OS security posture.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Define and track metrics/KPIs and provide supporting analytics for endpoint and system security.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Stay current on endpoint security threats, attacker techniques, and mitigation strategies.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Develop and execute strategy to enhance current investments and identify opportunities for innovation and uplift.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Aggregate data across disparate platforms to design and develop meaningful alerting and detections.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Manage a portfolio of security engineering initiatives and directly lead select projects end-to-end<span>.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of hands-on experience with endpoint security technologies.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Hands-on DLP experience (mandatory).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of OS internals and exploit mechanics, with knowledge of preventive/detective controls.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience investigating security incidents; ability to analyze logs to determine scope, techniques, and impacted systems.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Experience producing trending, metrics, and management reporting.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills with remote/global stakeholders.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to mentor peers and train junior team members; provide technical direction when needed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Excellent documentation skills and ability to organize workflow and priorities.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and able to learn independently.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Technology/related field (or equivalent proven experience).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Scripting experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Experience in the Financial Services industry.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Security certifications (e.g., Ethical Hacking or endpoint security–focused certifications).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>At Jefferies, we believe that diversity fosters creativity, innovation and thought leadership through the infusion of new ideas and perspectives.
