The PDI Tech is responsible for preloading systems and includes inspecting, preparing, and servicing all new vehicles delivered to the dealership. <strong>The ideal candidate is flexible in regard to working the overnight shift. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The PDI Technician has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $21.00. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>*This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Perks of working with us:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Weekly Pay - get paid every Friday.</li>\n <li>401k with a generous Company match </li>\n <li>Vacation (accruals earned on Full Time or Part Time status)</li>\n <li>Vision, dental, and medical care benefits available to any team <strong>full time</strong> team member</li>\n <li>Team member Referral Bonus Program</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement </li>\n <li>Discounts with Corporate Partners like GE, Dell, Oakley, Yeti, Ray Ban, and many more….</li>\n <li>Development and growth opportunities</li>\n <li>Free Employee Parking</li>\n <li>On-site gym, free of charge to team members </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspects all lubrication levels and adds proper lubrication, as required</li>\n <li>Inspects all new vehicles for obvious damages and missing components</li>\n <li>Replaces defective items according to specifications, using hand tools</li>\n <li>Test-drives vehicles to ensure proper operation of brakes, transmission, and engine operation</li>\n <li>Activates power equipment such as electric windows, seats, radio, horn, lights, and directional signals to ensure specified operating standards</li>\n <li>Touches up any minor chips and scratches on paint</li>\n <li>Installs optional equipment specified by the guest or dealers such as outside mirrors, rugs, seat covers, using hand tools</li>\n <li>Installs standard components such as hubcaps and wiper blades, using hand tools</li>\n <li>Installs manufacturer and aftermarket accessories such as GPS systems</li>\n <li>Perform GPS installations at customer residencies</li>\n <li>Follows all company safety policies, operations, and practices</li>\n <li>Assists in all other areas of the Service Department as needed</li>\n <li>Maintains high ethical standards in all actions </li>\n <li>Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner</li>\n <li>Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma or equivalent; some vocational training in automotive desired </li>\n <li>Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required; and mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and application</li>\n <li>Ability to operate manual transmission vehicle; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; determining causes of operating errors on vehicles and deciding what to do about it; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language</li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical demands </strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
