Corvid develops and uses its own tools in support of these programs and is integrated with both the program offices and the prime contractors for the systems we support.</p><p>Corvid is actively seeking navigation algorithm experts who are highly qualified and self-motivated to support its defense related programs. Applicants must be US Citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. New graduates must be able to demonstrate a firm background in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) practices and familiarity with simulation-based design. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees and a GNC concentration with a focus on optimal control theory. Experienced candidates must have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience and be able to demonstrate the ability to develop GNC solutions for relevant systems.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, analyze, and integrate navigation algorithms using Kalman filtering and/or particle filtering techniques</li><li>Develop, test, and maintain navigation algorithms in Corvid&rsquo;s six degree of freedom simulation model</li><li>Maintain and utilize Corvid&rsquo;s navigation analysis toolsets to derive navigation system requirements at the subcomponent level, including novel aiding schemes</li><li>Develop and perform test plans for ground testing of GNC algorithms in Corvid&rsquo;s GNC laboratories</li><li>Day-to-day informal and formal report generation</li><li>Support flight testing</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with navigation system design and tuning</li><li>Experience with inertial measurement unit, GNSS, and radar sensors</li><li>Experience with C/C++ and Python</li><li>Understanding of Linux based operating systems</li><li>Familiarity with embedded and high performance computing environments</li><li>Familiarity with scripting languages (bash, Matlab)</li></ul><p><strong>General Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (please indicate citizenship in your resume and/or cover letter failure to do so may delay your consideration for the opening)</li><li>Self-motivated</li><li>Outstanding time-management and multi-tasking skills</li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work in a team setting</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Why Corvid:</strong></p><p>Founded in 2004, we are a group of over 300 engineers and scientists, about 3/4 with master&rsquo; degrees or Ph.D.&#39;s, that provide end-to-end solutions including concept development, design and optimization, prototype build, test and manufacture. &nbsp;We leverage the predictive capability of our high-fidelity computational physics solvers, indigenous massively parallel supercomputer system, prototyping plant, and ballistics and mechanics lab to investigate a variety of high-rate physics phenomena.&nbsp;</p><p>The results are complex engineering solutions for a variety of applications; aircraft, ballistic missile defense, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, and missile and warhead design and development. &nbsp;These results are achieved with optimal design and cost efficiency due to the predictive capability of Corvid&rsquo;s tools and our in-house, end-to-end integrated approach, which differentiates Corvid from the market.</p><p>We value our people and offer employees a broad range of benefits.
