These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Perform engineering tasks in support of the Communication and Tracking (C/T) engineering group.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Conduct system tests (software and hardware), collect and analyze data on equipment performance. Troubleshoot equipment/system anomalies.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Initial assignments will focus on development of Radio Frequency Telemetry used during ground processing and vehicle launch throughout the full development cycle including requirements development, testing, and operational use.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Candidates will be required to apply knowledge of technical principles, vehicle processing operations concepts, ground to vehicle interfaces, and vehicle/ground system design and operation. Additional responsibilities in system training, vehicle processing, and launch certification will follow.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Candidate will perform engineering work in preparation for assembly, test, processing, and launch of NASA&#39;s Space Launch System in support of the Artemis program.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Candidate will be expected to accomplish testing &amp; operations independently (software and hardware testing), and act as Task Team Leader for assignments involving C/T.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&middot;Perform other duties as assigned</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">BS in Engineering (Electrical / Software/ Aerospace preferred) or technical equivalent from an accredited engineering school.&nbsp;</p>Aircraft / Spacecraft / Launch Vehicle processing background a plus.<br>Launch console experience a plus.&nbsp;<br>Software development (Unix,Python/C++) experience a plus<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">May be required to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, may be required to access various locations on the facility.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety standards.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Equipment and Machines</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Computers and printers used for producing reports and schedules.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Variety of equipment used in testing.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Attendance</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Full-time work hours.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Position may require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be dependable and punctual.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Shift work may be required.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Other Essential Functions</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to travel to support position requirements.
