Since its inception in 2004, M&J has grown into diversified provider of engineering, construction management, construction inspection, technology, and environmental services to a broad range of clients, including federal, state and city/local agencies, private owners, architects, engineers and contractors.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>M&J Engineering is a leader in construction management and inspection, ITS, mechanical, electrical, wastewater, water supply, tunnel airport, port, marine/coastal, environmental engineering, and design-build services for both new infrastructure projects and renovations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>We’re looking for a <em><strong>construction inspector</strong></em> with transportation industry experience. This position will support WMATA within the Washington, DC Metro area and is ideal for someone with previous or current WMATA experience or similar experience with a major transportation authority.</p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities·         Perform construction inspection work related to civil, electrical/communications, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting to ensure compliance with plans and specifications;·         Ensure work is in compliance with approved plans and specifications of each project along with approved means, methods, and procedures; and·         Receive assignments from and report to the MATOC Program Manager, WMATA Task Manager, or designated representative.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>·         A minimum of three (3) years of experience as civil, mechanical, structural, roofing, and general contracting inspector;·         A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting multiple tasks;·         Practical knowledge of engineering and construction practices and disciplines, as well as of the codes and regulations relating to different technical areas of construction; and·         Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>WMATA Experience Preferred.</strong></em> Hourly Salary Range: $37-$46</p>\n<p>How to Apply: Apply through this site or send resume to [email protected]. <em><strong>*Third-party recruiters and agencies need not apply.
