This associate producer will work closely with producers to pitch, develop and execute compelling journalism on a range of topics and issues, including original, enterprising and investigative reporting.&#xa0; Agility, versatility, and a willingness to embrace different formats, platforms and show needs is a must —from morning show storytelling to hard news evening broadcasts and streaming to native vertical video producing.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a creative journalist with sharp editorial judgment, strong writing and research skills, forward thinking with the confidence to thrive under pressure.&#xa0;&#xa0; This role is right for you if you’re a versatile storyteller who thrives on producing distinct, urgent, high impact and memorable work. You’re highly organized, competitive, and relentless about accuracy and detail—yet collaborative, adaptable, and energized by working with producers and correspondents under tight deadlines. Most importantly, you’re passionate about journalism that informs, engages, and makes a difference.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with producers, correspondents, senior editors and show teams to develop, report, and deliver strong, visually compelling stories with clear narratives and deeply researched journalism.</li><li>Support producers in researching, pitching, writing, and fact-check stories across NBC News linear and streaming platforms, including daily news, longform pieces, and cross-platform content.</li><li>Secure guest bookings in a competitive environment; conduct pre-interviews and prepare talking points.</li><li>Possesses a collaborative spirit while being able to carry the load when needed.</li><li>Work with editors to ensure high-quality video packages, graphics, and sound.</li><li>Partner with Legal &amp; Standards to ensure all content adheres to editorial and corporate guidelines.</li><li>Maintain strong communication between the correspondent, senior leadership, and production teams.</li><li>Contribute ideas for a wide range of content including news-of-day, original, and investigative stories reporting.</li></ul>",
