SI Leaders attend lectures, plan and lead interactive study sessions, and help students develop effective learning strategies.</p><p>This position is ideal for students who are strong communicators, enjoy helping others, and have excelled in the course they will support.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Attend all lectures for the assigned course(s) &ndash; If schedule allows.&nbsp;</li><li>Plan and lead <strong>1 weekly SI session</strong>, encouraging collaborative learning and engagement.</li><li>Create and share session materials (practice problems, guides, study tools, etc.).</li><li>Maintain consistent communication with course instructor and SI supervisor.</li><li>Take attendance and track student participation for reporting purposes.</li><li>Participate in the beginning of the semester training.</li><li>Serve as a positive academic role model and resource for students.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing.</li><li>Must have previously completed the assigned course with a grade of <strong>B+ or higher</strong> (or equivalent).</li><li>Strong recommendations from department instructors.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Dependable, organized, and self-motivated.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.</li><li>Willingness to attend training.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience with peer tutoring, mentoring, or leading groups.</li><li>Knowledge of active learning techniques or study strategies.</li><li>Interest in education, teaching, or student success.</li></ul><p><strong>Training Provided</strong></p><p>All SI Leaders will receive paid training and ongoing support to ensure confidence in session planning, group facilitation, and student engagement.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p></div>\n",
