(maximum of 56 hours per biweekly pay period and minimum of 12 hours per week) &nbsp;This position may require work on some holidays, nights and weekends. Applicants must be available to work Monday &ndash; Friday between 7 am and 6 pm or Friday - Sunday, dawn to dusk. Part-time positions with the City of Sandy Springs are not eligible for any employment benefits.</span> &nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:start;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Job Description&nbsp;</strong></span> &nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align:start;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0,0,0);font-size: 14px;font-family: Arial;\">Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties involved in the enforcement of laws and prevention of crimes; duties include providing general courtroom security and coordinating the transfer of inmates from local holding facility to required court appearances; patrolling and monitoring parks, controlling traffic flow and enforcing State and local traffic regulations and participating in and conducting a variety of criminal investigations. This position provides a high level of customer service and integrates the community into policing activities; participates in community based police activities and programs; performs a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of law enforcement services and activities.
