    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>i3 is looking for a<strong> Solution-Level Software System Engineer</strong> to join our team to support the PAE Fires Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. The candidate in this role will work with contractors, US military, government civilians and system operators to develop system-level concepts that provide solutions to problems that often involve various systems from multiple product offices. These concepts define external interfaces, outline system behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to support HW and SW engineering teams. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Working as a member of the Solutions System Engineering Team in prioritizing capabilities to be worked in each Program Increment (PI).</li>\n <li>Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to better understand the scope of an Initiative/Capability.</li>\n <li>Developing concepts utilizing a Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) approach in an Agile SW workflow and environment.</li>\n <li>Assembling Artifacts and other information into Solutions Initiative Documents (SIDs) as well as Solutions Engineering Documents (SEDs) and refining Jira tickets as necessary.</li>\n <li>Modeling Capability behavior (SV-1, SV-4) using the MagicDraw MBSE tool.</li>\n <li>Creating/modifying existing behavior to include Functions and Data Exchanges/Signals.</li>\n <li>Defining Acceptance Criteria for a Capability and tracing the Acceptance Criteria to behavior in the model.</li>\n <li>Determining the current Capabilities Description Document (CDD) and System Spec requirements being satisfied by the capability and establishing those links in the model.</li>\n <li>Recommending follow-up Feature tickets to be implemented at the Program Level.</li>\n <li>Facilitating/Leading both Internal and Formal Reviews of an Initiative/Capability.</li>\n <li>Adjudicating review comments and transitioning recommended Capabilities/Features to the backlog by drafting Capabilities/Features for implementation using Jira.</li>\n <li>Participating in regularly scheduled team stand-ups as well as Team Planning, Retrospectives, and Prioritization.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required Education/Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>An active Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain.</li>\n <li>A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.</li>\n <li>10 or more years of system engineering or related experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).</li>\n <li>Proficiency in MagicDraw.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset.</li>\n <li>Experience with Jira and Confluence.</li>\n <li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various levels of workers/leaders.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Education/Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A master's degree in systems engineering.</li>\n <li>Previous experience with the Army Air and Missile Defense Command and Control systems, such as Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), Patriot, FAAD C2, and ADAM.</li>\n <li>Previous experience with the integration of Command and Control Systems in a System of Systems architecture.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Knowledge/Skills: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of office administration and procedures. </li>\n <li>Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.  </li>\n <li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully. </li>\n <li>Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner. </li>\n <li>Work independently with accountability for accurate and complete results. </li>\n <li>Be extremely organized and exceptionally detail oriented. </li>\n <li>Work well both independently and in a team environment. </li>\n <li>Be energized by a fast-paced work environment. </li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate with others effectively.  </li>\n <li>Analyze information and respond appropriately.  </li>\n <li>Manage time wisely and prioritize tasks. </li>\n <li>Provide superior customer service.   </li>\n <li>Multi-task in a pleasant manner. </li>\n <li>Work well under pressure. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Physical Demands:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. </li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  </li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  </li>\n <li>Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion.
