    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" id=\"isPasted\"><tbody><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 624px;\"><p><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong>Primary responsibility of the position is to ensure that the Roast Plant produces the highest quality of roasted coffee for Kauai Coffee&rsquo;s distribution centers.</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 624px;\"><p><strong>Primary Functions:</strong>&nbsp;</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 624px;\"><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Follow established guidelines, procedures, policies, practices and methods necessary to maximize coffee quality and food safety standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Operate production equipment including the roaster, grinder, flavor mixer and packaging machines to meet scheduling requirements by established work standards.</li><li>Ensure all required documents and daily checklist related to equipment operation (required at the beginning, during and end of shift) are completed.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of what types and amounts of coffee are used for daily production.</li><li>Monitor key process control points throughout the entire shift.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform numerous visual checks on products as they move through the packaging line to ensure all weights, seals, UPC codes, dates, and other packaging set up and details are correct.&nbsp;</li><li>Retrieve coffee samples from the packaging line for every product being produced for QA testing.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare/participate in Food Safety Audit</li><li>Work with the QA team to ensure the product meets quality standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe.</li><li>Responsible for packaging line change-over and setting of machine parameters for each product line.</li><li>Work with roast plant workers on scheduled flavoring days.&nbsp;</li><li>Program the packaging machine for items to be produced, using touch screen, based on information listed on the manufacturing specification sheet.</li><li>Complete all preventative maintenance work on equipment.</li><li>Performs emergency repairs on lines as needed to ensure target line efficiencies are attained.</li><li>Report on any jobs that work orders need to be placed.&nbsp;</li><li>Follow established housekeeping SOP&rsquo;s to ensure Food Safety Standards are implemented.</li><li>Verify daily production numbers with the verification team at the end of the day.&nbsp;</li><li>Support Away from Home Program and customers as necessary</li><li>Complies with all Federal, State, Local and Company safety, health, and environmental regulations.</li><li>Comply with all Company Rules and Company Policies.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\"><tbody><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong>Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge Requirements:</strong>&nbsp;</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Previous coffee roasting, packaging and flavoring experience required.</strong>&nbsp;</li><li>Incumbent must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and taking instructions in the English language.</li><li>Competent in basic mathematics and possess basic computer skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess technical aptitude.</li><li>1-year minimum experience in mechanical troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Enjoy working in a team environment.</li><li>Able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to use hand tools.</li><li>&nbsp;Requires standing, climbing, bending, and lifting for long periods of time.</li><li>&nbsp;Must be capable of lifting 100-lb. coffee bags utilizing team lift.</li><li>&nbsp;Valid State of Hawaii driver&rsquo;s license and forklift operator&rsquo;s license.
