The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with peers, teachers, and students, have a deep commitment to student achievement, hold students and self to high expectations, and uphold the school culture at all times. This assignment is designed to ensure all scholars have access to rigorous, research based learning opportunities at their instructional level.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; text-decoration: none\">With guidance from and in collaboration with the classroom teacher, prepares for and administers instructional assessments in whole group, small group, and individual settings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">With guidance from and in collaboration with the classroom teacher, instructs small groups of scholars based on instructional data and individual learning plans collected through the assessment process.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">With guidance from and in collaboration with the classroom teacher, analyze ongoing assessment data to form flexible, small groups for instruction based on student need including directed teaching, diagnosing and planning, and intervention/enrichment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">With guidance from and in collaboration with the classroom teacher, participates as an active member of professional learning communities, data discussions, instructional grouping, and lesson planning.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">With guidance from and in collaboration with the classroom teacher, lead small group intervention for targeted student groups.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Participates in ongoing and regularly occurring professional learning and development opportunities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Meet with the classroom teacher regularly to discuss student progress and plan next steps for instruction and intervention</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Serve as the  primary instructors during Summer Academy and Intercessions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Act as a substitute teacher, as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Teaches Lit Block, as assigned by the assistant principal/intervention coordinator. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Student Supervision</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Perform supervisory duties during recess, lunch, and other times as directed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Provides assistance in related lunch administration activities such as escorting students to lunch and to the play area, administering lunches, assists  in the cleaning of lunch areas</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Student Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">In support of the special education department and teachers, assists scholars having an IEP</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Professional Expectations</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Participates in all staff meetings, professional learning, and planning sessions as assigned</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">In collaboration with the classroom teacher, assist in the preparation of lessons and student exemplars as assigned</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Participate fully in the coaching cycle (being observed, receiving real-time and post-lesson feedback, collaborating with APs and/or coach on action steps, implementing action steps, etc.)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Support the general day-to-day activities of the school site</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none\">Required Education, Experience, and Abilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">High School Diploma and at least 90 semester units earned (135 quarter units)  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Bachelor’s Degree preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Successful passage of the CBEST or completion of another Basic Skills Requirement as required by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none\">Possession of a Substitute Teaching Permit  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;
