    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for an Ordnance Technician I. The job location is at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Scope of Performance:&nbsp;</strong>This position is that of an Ordnance Technician I, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head MD. This position will be full-time technician, including shift work, and shall be subject to Department of Transportation physical examinations and certification requirements. &nbsp;Technician will work in all explosive and chemical processing areas as determined by management or COR. Technician MUST be able to support varying shifts including swing and night shifts at the request of management or COR.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform a variety of duties that include, but not limited to, operation of energetic equipment, operation of energetic transport vehicles, and storage of energetic material</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Responsible for inspection of energetic and hazardous material</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Understanding and utilizing hazardous waste practices for transport and storage per base and state/federal regulations</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintain records and track shipments of energetic and hazardous material</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures for production of energetic/hazardous material</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Use of equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, trucks, and other various lifting equipment for transportation of energetic and hazardous materials&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintain an accurate inventory of assets utilizing automated information systems and/or paper logbooks</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assists fellow departments to streamline flow of materials</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Follow written procedures, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOP)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Education and Experience &ndash; Required:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>High School Diploma or equivalent</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Previous experience in ordnance or weapons systems a plus&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Inventory, warehouse, and/or hands on experience a plus</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>U.S. Citizen and valid driver&rsquo;s license</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to wear, utilize, and maintain respirator qualification</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to pass Ammo-18 Certification class</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to work with automated computer systems and Microsoft Office products</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, both military and private industry</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
