The Registered Respiratory Therapist shall provide the services of a qualified therapeutic respiratory technician.  The sole responsibility of the Registered Respiratory Therapist shall be to provide guidance and counsel to the facilities respiratory services program.</p>\n<h2>Essential Job Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide consultation to the administration and staff regarding planning, policy, development and priority setting based on initial and on-going evaluations of the respiratory service needs</li>\n <li>Provide respiratory therapy consultation to any resident in the facility in accordance with physician’s orders</li>\n <li>Counsel the patient, staff and family with regards to the patient’s respiratory therapy needs</li>\n <li>Make appropriate referrals for continuing respiratory care</li>\n <li>Review sanitation in accordance with current standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Other Job Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel to all facility locations as required</li>\n <li>Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required</li>\n <li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Basic Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the State of Texas, required</li>\n <li>Current BLS certification, required</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.</li>\n <li>3+ years’ experience, required</li>\n <li>Critical Care or ER experience, preferred</li>\n <li>Experience writing policies and procedures, preferred </li>\n <li><p>Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication</p></li>\n <li><u>Pennsylvania Candidates</u>: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), & Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.</li>\n</ul>",
