    "description": "<h2>Department Overview</h2>\n<p>The Dotter Department of Interventional Radiology serves as a beacon of both internationally recognized research and locally delivered advanced clinical care. The Dotter Department of Interventional Radiology is a part of the OHSU School of Medicine, with its own admitting service and clinic. We provide all the diagnostic angiographic, interventional radiologic, and neurointerventional services to the OHSU and VA Hospitals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.</p>\n<p>This position is under the supervision of the Chair, Dotter Department of Interventional Radiology. Responsibilities will include working with the interdisciplinary team in the angio/cath lab and ambulatory clinics to achieve quality of care, patient safety, and service excellence goals. The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position reports to (supervisor): Khashayar Farsad, MD, Interim Chair, Dotter Department of Interventional Radiology</p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<p>Responsibilities include the full range of body IR diagnostic and interventional procedures with special focus on peripheral arterial disease; outpatient clinical practice; care of IR inpatients; call coverage of the Body interventional service in rotation with the other Body faculty; and participation in Institute educational endeavors and quality programs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> Care will be provided at OHSU as well as at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, Randall Children’s Hospital, Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital, Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, and Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center as assigned by the Department Chair and Medical Director.</p>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>MD or equivalent</li>\n <li>Eligibility for or sub-specialty certification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) by the American Board of Radiology</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law</li>\n <li>Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and inflexible deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.</li>\n <li>Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing and spreadsheet software.</li>\n <li>Regular and consistent attendance at work</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hours vary. </li>\n <li>Frequent interruptions in an environment of frequent change and fluctuations.</li>\n <li>May be exposed to excessive auditory and visual stimulation.</li>\n <li>May be required to attend out of town conferences according to hospital travel and reimbursement policies.</li>\n <li>May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, possible radiation exposure, and infectious processes.</li>\n <li>Subject to computer work for several hours, as needed.</li>\n <li>Able to use all appropriate patient care equipment and office equipment within work area.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why apply to OHSU?</h2>\n<b>We are Oregon's only public academic health center.</b> In addition to caring for patients, we lead groundbreaking research.
