With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p><strong>Role Description</strong>:</p>\n<p>Arcadis is seeking a&nbsp;<strong>Railroad Operations Coordinator</strong>&nbsp;to support one of the&nbsp;<strong>most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States</strong>&nbsp;— the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP).</p>\n<p>We are working as the Delivery Partner along with team members and selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program&nbsp;<strong>— one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation</strong>&nbsp;— and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor.</p>\n<p>The project encompasses the construction of a new, two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, along with the full rehabilitation of the existing 113-year-old North River Tunnel. This vital infrastructure supports more than 200,000 daily passengers via Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT and serves as a backbone for economic activity and connectivity between New York and New Jersey.</p>\n<p>This is more than just a job —&nbsp;<strong>it’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure program</strong>&nbsp;that will reshape rail transportation, drive sustainable economic growth, and improve regional accessibility for millions. As part of this high-performing, multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver excellence on one of the most technically complex and high-profile projects in the world.</p>\n<p>If you're seeking to make a meaningful, lasting impact — while advancing your career alongside some of the best minds in the industry —&nbsp;<strong>this is your moment</strong>.</p>\n<p><strong>Role Accountabilities</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Act as the primary liaison between the GDC, Amtrak, freight rail operators, and other stakeholders to facilitate coordination and communication.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ensure all parties are aligned on project schedules, operational requirements, and rail access needs, minimizing disruptions to existing rail services.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Develop and manage schedules for track access, work windows, and rail service interruptions in coordination with Amtrak and freight rail operators.</li>\n <li>Ensure all project activities near or on active rails lines adhere to established safety and operational standards.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Leverage extensive knowledge of Amtrak and freight rail logistics to provide technical guidance on project activities, such as rail movement, scheduling, and labor requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>This role requires in-depth expertise in railroad operations, safety compliance, and labor coordination, as well as the ability to navigate complex interactions between construction needs and existing rail operations.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Engineering, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li>\n <li>Minimum 15-20 years&nbsp;Previous experience coordinating operations for Amtrak and/or freight rail projects.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and industry regulations related to railroad operations and safety.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills and Abilities</strong>:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of railroad operations, including experience with safety compliance and labor coordination.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple parties, particularly within complex rail environments.</li>\n <li>Experience developing and managing track access schedules, work windows, and service interruptions.</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of Amtrak and freight rail logistics, enabling technical guidance on rail project activities.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve operational conflicts.</li>\n <li>High attention to detail, particularly with safety and compliance requirements.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to a multi-stakeholder environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
