    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Sales Assistant will perform a combination of cash handling/ register sales, food preparation, stocking and deep cleaning of all areas of the General Store to include the kitchen.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.</li>\n <li>Operation of POS/cash registers and resultant adherence to cash handling policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintenance of merchandise by sweeping, dusting, cleaning, organizing, rotating and restocking daily.</li>\n <li>Preparation, packaging, serving and selling of General Store “to go” food items. Tasks associated with this process may include but are not limited to: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Handling of food products including raw meats.</li>\n  <li>Operating commercial fryers, display warmers, commercial slicers and stove top. </li>\n  <li>Handling of knives and associated kitchen wares and wraps.</li>\n  <li>“Temping”, logging and discerning data associated with food preparation and preservation.</li>\n  <li>Monitor prepared food so that it is safe, well presented and of high quality.</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Deep cleans General Store kitchen.  </li>\n <li>Cleaning of filters and machines on a daily basis.</li>\n <li>Responsible for filtering of deep fryer oils, wiping down all hoods and related equipment, maintaining a sanitary kitchen at all times.</li>\n <li>Cleaning and proper care of all General Store equipment and facilities.  Including but not limited to fixtures, bathrooms, kitchen, floors, fuel pump islands and exterior. </li>\n <li>Collection and transportation of garbage and old cooking oil to outside dumpsters and bins. </li>\n <li>Communicate General Store and Casino product knowledge and descriptions to guests as directed by management.</li>\n <li>Compliance with all laws and regulations governing the sale of alcohol, tobacco, gasoline and other products as instructed.</li>\n <li>Comply with established written policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Handle guest complaints or transgressions in a professional, courteous manner that is consistent with policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates the flexibility and adaptability necessary to work in high volume environment.</li>\n <li>Follows all safety and emergency procedures and is aware of accident prevention policies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</strong> • Experience in retail sales and food handling is desired.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pay range: $18.00 - $23.40 per hour</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>*Shift Differential: </strong>Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.</em></p> \n<p><strong>This is not a smoke free workplace.</strong>  Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.</p>",
