Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties at any time.&nbsp;</em></p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><ul><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Performs a variety of functions associated with all engineering test operations, including test and troubleshooting RF circuits at a PCB and component level.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">The ideal candidate must possess the initiative to learn with the capability to practically apply the latest information learned on a daily basis.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Maintains clear and effective communication with contacts inside and outside of the department.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Work alongside engineers to provide a definition of test set-up and calibration tasks as well as collaborating with quality managers and inspection to ensure engineering standards and customer specifications are met.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Assembling and tuning RF or microwave components and prototype systems.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Using network analyzers, power meters, and signal generators to diagnose and fix circuit or component failures.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and schematics.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Dismantle, adjust, repairs, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Works with engineers in conducting experiments.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing or testing process.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Compiles and records test results. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Utilizes automated test programs to evaluate product performance against specifications and to collect data demonstrating product performance.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Must have a High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years of experience with formal electronics training via military, trade school or equivalent.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Must have a solid understanding and working knowledge of RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF generators, digital oscilloscopes, frequency meters and Power meters.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Must have a solid understanding of RF measurements, including gain, noise figure, P1dB, 2<sup>nd</sup> and 3<sup>rd</sup> order intercept, harmonics and other relevant parameters.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Possess analog and digital troubleshooting skills.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Ability to read schematic diagrams and other engineering documentation required.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Good soldering techniques and able to do solder rework using a microscope.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications desired.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Team-oriented attitude.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Knowledge of safety practices and a demonstrated commitment to maintain them.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">ESD Awareness.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening and background check.</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Salary Range: $34.00 - $47.00/Hourly</p><p style=\"line-height: 1.15;\">Onsite in Sparks, MD with a 9/80 schedule.
