The engineer serves as a technical authority across controls logic, control philosophy, system behavior, and commissioning support, collaborating closely with cross functional engineering partners and customer teams.</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Serve as technical subject matter expert of BESS and microgrid solutions to internal product development teams, sales teams, services teams, and external clients.</span></li>\n <li><span>Assist in pre-sales activities to explain the benefits of BESS and microgrid solutions to potential customers and help create budgetary quotations for these solutions.</span></li>\n <li><span>Design BESS and microgrid solutions for won bids and help coordinate the procurement of the solution equipment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Acquire necessary firmware and software settings for sold solutions and ensure all equipment has its software properly adjusted during installation.</span></li>\n <li><span>Guide system installation, setup, commissioning, operation, and maintenance as necessary.</span></li>\n <li><span>Guide internal product development initiatives and research programs to introduce new solutions to the market.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related field</span></li>\n <li><span>8-10 years of experience in&nbsp;</span><span>microgrid, power, or industrial controls engineering.</span></li>\n <li><span>Deep understanding and hands on experience with PLC programming (codesys preferred), SCADA systems and HMI development, and industrial networking and protocols.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong understanding of power system behavior and grid interconnection concepts.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to author clear and structured control diagrams and control philosophies for power control&nbsp;</span><span>systems.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, control drawings, service bulletins, equipment specifications, etc.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills</span></li>\n <li><span>High attention to detail; excellent organization skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Preferred:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Previous experience with distributed energy resources such as BESS, solar arrays, diesel generators, natural gas generators, or any other related</span><span> technologies.</span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>Experience with grid forming inverters, microgrid controllers and power plant controllers.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Prior work interfacing with utilities or ISOs.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals &amp; Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.</span></p>\n<p><span>OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
