Join our team where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
How you’ll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of infection control processes within a healthcare setting Monitor and trend healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) using risk-stratified data Develop and implement systems to identify, investigate, report, and prevent HAIs Review microbiology reports, including cultures and sensitivities, to determine infection origin Collaborate with clinical staff to identify potential infection risks and occurrences Investigate infection trends, including outbreaks or cases above established thresholds Assist in providing education and in-service training related to infection prevention and control Support development and continuous improvement of infection control policies and procedures Review and update departmental policies related to infection control as needed Communicate infection control findings and initiatives to leadership and committees Perform other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Infection Control certification required within 2 years of hire/transfer Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS are required within six of hire. One year of experience preferred ASLS certification preferred
