This position assembles, programs, and tests BTS Blinker signs, blinker paddles, RRFB, Beacons, ETO Blinker Signs, and DirecTimes. &nbsp;The position operates within a cell work environment where standardized work, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S principles are practiced. &nbsp;This position reports to the Production Manager. &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assembles custom orders according to engineered-to-order standards and documentation</li><li>Programs and tests finished products&nbsp;</li><li>Pack products into wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers using protective padding. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Participates in cell changeovers from part to part</li><li>Performs minor maintenance&nbsp;</li><li>Solves routine problems</li><li>Learns Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles and practice them on a daily basis</li><li>Conducts regular 5S audits and quality audits and checks</li><li>Shares and supports ideas for improvement in group meetings</li><li>Participates in group and individual improvement activities with team members, engineering, and management</li><li>Helps implement and support improvement ideas</li><li>Communicate with the Cell/Team Leader, Planner, and Management as required</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Required Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities and Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Electronics - OMS law, AC/DC, Voltage/Amps, solar controls&nbsp;</li><li>Mechanical ability</li><li>Able to read, and interpret electronic and mechanical work instructions, drawings, and schematics</li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.&nbsp;</li><li>Communication skills &ndash; strong verbal, listening, and written&nbsp;</li><li>Able to analyze and solve routine problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Computer skills &ndash; Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, testing&nbsp;</li><li>1 &ndash; 2 years prior relevant experience within the industry &nbsp;</li><li>Prior experience assembling panels, wire harnesses, and/or other electrical control&nbsp;</li><li>Prior experience working in a team/cell-based environment&nbsp;</li><li>Able to lift up to 35 lbs and able to stand for 75% of the day.</li></ul><p><strong>About Us:</strong></p><p>At TAPCO, our mission is to enhance transportation and personal safety in our communities through innovative solutions and products.
