This position will work closely with the sourcing group on all Great Plains Mfg products. They will be responsible for driving quality improvement initiatives on current and new purchased components for all GPM facilities. They will be challenged to find problems, analyze and determine the root cause, and provide solutions. This position will report to the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager. &nbsp;</span></p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">This position typically works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some overnight travel is required.&nbsp;</span></p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Travel outside of Kansas 20%.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Travel inside of Kansas (i.e. day trips to suppliers) 20%.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Lead supplier quality audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Lead PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities from a technical perspective.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Escalate unresolved quality issues as appropriate to facilitate resolution at suppliers.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Develop and maintain strong relationship with suppliers while focusing on the improvement of product quality.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Prepares process/product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Identify opportunity and necessity for internally designed Quality Check fixtures.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintain and report Supplier Scorecards.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Support the development of New Product Engineering Test Plan and monitor the compliance of the plan related to critical suppliers.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Participate in FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), design reviews, and other New Product Introduction activities.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Lead advanced problem-solving activities.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.</li><li style=\"font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;
