Western National is seeking a Claims Training Lead to join our team! The individual in this role will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs across all property-and-casualty lines of business, ensuring claims employees are equipped with the technical knowledge, systems proficiency, and claims handling skills necessary to drive quality outcomes and maintain regulatory compliance. What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role? Leads the design and execution of the annual Claims Trainee Program, including curriculum development, facilitation, and evaluation. Manages onboarding and structured training for new claims employees, ensuring effective early-stage development. Develops and delivers training programs (instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning) for claims staff across property-and-casualty lines of business. Creates and maintains training materials and resources that support technical, systems, and professional skill development. Partners with claims leadership to identify training needs and align programs with business goals and regulatory requirements. Evaluates training effectiveness using assessments and performance metrics and implements continuous improvements. Provides coaching and ongoing learning support to reinforce knowledge and enhance employee performance. Maintains training documentation and ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Exercises independent judgment in the design and delivery of training programs and determines appropriate learning methods and tools. Collaborates with leadership to prioritize training initiatives that are aligned with organizational needs.
