Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow oral and written instructions</li>\n <li>Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS)</li>\n <li>Follow schedule for laundry department</li>\n <li>Adjust water temperature valves to maintain required temperatures</li>\n <li>Handle clean and soiled laundry appropriately</li>\n <li>Identify and report garments or linens in ill repair to supervisor</li>\n <li>Collect soiled laundry</li>\n <li>Sort laundry and linens and ensure they are washed in the proper cycle</li>\n <li>Follow proper cleaning and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions</li>\n <li>Distribute neat, clean laundry and personal resident clothing</li>\n <li>Keep equipment and work areas clean</li>\n <li>Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School education or GED</li>\n <li>A minimum of one (1) year housekeeping experience in a long- term care setting preferred</li>\n <li>Must have general knowledge of laundry systems critical to safety and welfare</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write and follow oral written instructions</li>\n <li>Must be able to push, pull or lift a minimum of 25 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds with assistance, such as carts, laundry bags, and linens</li>\n <li>Strenuous pulling while unloading washers, dryers, repetitive motions</li>\n <li>May be required to wear a safety belt</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equal Opportunity Employer </p>\n<p>FutureCare has a longstanding policy of providing a work environment that respects the dignity and worth of each individual and is free from all forms of employment discrimination, including harassment, because of race, color, sex, gender, pregnancy, age, religion, national origin, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
