    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is seeking an Associate Professor or Professor, Division Chief within the Department of Medicine.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This person will provide administrative direction and oversight of the Division, deliver medical care to patients in a hospital setting, will be involved with the clinical rating of students/residents/fellows, and provide administrative oversight of the Division's Fellowship program. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide administrative direction and oversight of the operations of the Division and its Fellowship program.</li>\n <li>Deliver medical care to patients in a hospital setting.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with nursing, office staff, administrant in patient care.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with peers and support staff.</li>\n <li>Participate in academic/clinical/research activities.</li>\n <li>Participate in education evaluations and career development of students, residents, fellow and staff.</li>\n <li>Participate in committees as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications and Skills: MD, DO, MB, or MBBA, State of VA license</p>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications: Division/Medical Group leadership experience in running and growing a program.
