In this position, you will promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication process, identifying and preventing potential drug-related problems, and resolving actual drug-related problems. Additionally, you perform the duties of a registered pharmacist. All responsibilities will be performed in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0-adult).</p><p>Think you’ve got what it takes?</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Proactively monitor, manage, and communicate medication shortages and backorders</li><li>Oversee Omnicell/ADC inventory management, evaluating usage trends to optimize PAR levels, executing floor stock additions or deletions, and ensuring accurate medication placement</li><li>Maintain, and present weekly inventory database reports and metrics grids</li><li>Add, validate, and troubleshoot new National Drug Codes (NDCs) and scan codes within the pharmacy carousel, Omnicell</li><li>Assist with the complete lifecycle of controlled substances inventory, including receiving orders, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and medication waste.</li><li>Support automated medication tray processing systems (e.g., Kit Check/KTB), fulfilling kit-related requests, and performing daily quality assurance checks</li><li>Identify and implement inventory cost-saving initiatives</li><li>Execute VAMS formulary additions and deletions</li><li>Coordinate the prompt removal and quarantine of expired, recalled, or damaged medications</li><li>Support implementation of projects and programs</li><li>Maintain and manage hazardous drug databases.</li><li>Other tasks assigned by leader(s)</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.</i></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacy required</li><li>RPH certification from the state of Texas required</li><li>2+ years hospital staff pharmacist experience preferred</li></ul>",
