The Maintenance Technician responds to and troubleshoots electrical and/or mechanical problems, dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining existing machinery and equipment to keep our equipment at it&#39;s optimal condition.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Dismantle, rebuild and reassemble machinery using hand and power tools</li><li>Installs wiring of electronic devices</li><li>Installation of a wide range of new and used equipment</li><li>Wiring new electrical panels by following electrical drawings/prints</li><li>Installation of both water and electrical plumbing</li><li>Support required ISO documents/records associated with this department.</li><li>Observe and listen to operating machinery or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs</li><li>Maintains the preventive maintenance on equipment, as scheduled</li><li>Complete yearly RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Initial Training/Annual Review</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Strong mechanical aptitude</li><li>Knowledge of electrical wiring and components</li><li>Experience with 120V, 240V, 480V 3 phase and low voltage controls</li><li>Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams and blueprints (German equipment)</li><li>Ability to work independently; self starter</li><li>May be requested to perform over-time activities</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Forklift driving experience desired</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of High School, GED or equivalent</li><li>2-5 of experience working as a Maintenance Technician or Electrical Technician, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical problems</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements. (Examples: Lock Out/Tag Out, Pinch Points, electrical codes, HMIS/MSDS requirements, waste disposal.)</li><li>Must comply with all company rules and policies</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee operates within a plant environment. &nbsp;The employee is exposed to loud continuous noise from surrounding operating machinery.</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p>This is an active role as the employee will work in a manufacturing environment. &nbsp;While performing the essential functions of the job the employee will be required to stand, balance or walk on a consistent basis and may on a frequent basis be required to twist, turn, stoop, squat, kneel, bend or reach. &nbsp;The employee must use safe lifting techniques when lifting objects up to 50 pounds and carry out repetitive hand/wrist movements to include forearm rotation.
