Our CDL drivers satisfy a critical role here at Rahns. This position places an emphasis on reliability and attentiveness, as maintaining both a truck log and the trucks themselves are daily responsibilities that come along with the position. If you meet the job requirements outlined below, <strong>Rahns</strong> would be happy to consider you for this position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training programs including on the job, online through H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs all work according to FMCSA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Drives truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer</li>\n <li>Drives truck to location for unloading</li>\n <li>Moves levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete</li>\n <li>Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck</li>\n <li>Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete</li>\n <li>Assembles cement chute</li>\n <li>Performs daily pre and post trip of vehicle</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution </li>\n <li>Class B CDL</li>\n <li>Good driving record </li>\n <li>1 year of experience tri-axle driver</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Able and willing to work nights and weekends, and be adaptable to start time and schedule based on business needs</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3 years of experience tri-axle driver</li>\n <li>Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting\n  <ul>\n   <li>Strong preference for concrete transportation and manufacturing</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>OSHA or other relevant safety certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Use hands to finger, handle, or feel </li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Stand, walk, or sit </li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n   <li>Talk or hear</li>\n   <li>Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions</li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Moving, mechanical parts</li>\n   <li>Fumes and airborne particles</li>\n   <li>Vibration</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals</li>\n <li>Regularly requires night and weekend work and a 60-hour work week during the busy season</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually loud</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Rahns Concrete</strong> is a major supplier of ready-mix and precast concrete products to eastern Pennsylvania (PA) and the surrounding three-state (NY, NJ, and DE) region. <strong>Rahns</strong> currently operates eight permanent ready-mix concrete plants across eastern PA.
