WHAT YOU WILL DO The Sr. Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cutblock engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES A safety conscious attitude, experience supporting safety programs, and developing a team safety culture; Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry; Registered or eligible to registered with the FPBC as an RPF or RFT; A minimum of 3 years of multiphase timber development project management in British Columbia; A strong understanding of the forest legislation, regulation and policy impacting forest planning and management in British Columbia; Valid driver's license with a clean abstract. Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions; Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment.
