When you join RJ Schinner, you&rsquo;re not just taking a job &mdash; you&rsquo;re becoming part of a team that values hard work, celebrates success, and believes in growing together.</em></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Transportation Coordinator Job Summary</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:30 am - 5:00 pm | In-Office only</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Daily Routing</strong>:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Sequence stops in the most efficient way</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Balance cube to ensure most deliveries go on our own trucks to minimize common carrier utilization</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide guidance to sales, customer service and ops on how new customers will be delivered.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Set route start times</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide appointment times and receiving hours to ops and drivers</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide guidance to drivers on most efficient and safest delivery routes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Route vendor pickups</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Route transfers</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Transportation Planning</strong>:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Update routes on routing sheets including holiday schedules</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Make geocoding updates in the system for routes</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create and separate routes as needed based on vendor/customer needs</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Investigate and initialize optimal routing solutions</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Taking field calls from Sales Representatives for potential new customers to plan out potential routes</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare a number of reports to department heads to include the following: on time delivery %, driver efficiency performance, and underutilized routes for either additional sales or vendor pickup opportunity, etc.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Driver Support</strong>:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor route efficiencies by tracking and communicating with drivers on extra stops, length of stops, and route issues.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Field driver calls regarding customer, route, and truck issues</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Report dwell times to CS and Sales to help customer performance with deliveries.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide guidance to drivers on delivery or software needs. (Geotab, POD, Samsara, Whip Around)</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Fleet Support</strong>:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor equipment utilization for trucks</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor, plan and schedule Preventative Maintenance (PM) and defects marked within Whiparound</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Partner with the Safety &amp; Compliance department to communicate any training or corrective action opportunities</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Other duties as assigned by management</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong>:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school diploma</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Requires good oral and written communication skills</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attention to detail and accuracy</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Moderate level of Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">3 years of experience in truck routing, scheduling, and mapping in a redistribution environment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic comprehension of warehouse logistics</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Eclipse system experience</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Working Environment</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work is performed in a warehouse office environment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Noise level is moderately loud</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Occasional travel to offsite training and company meetings</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Demands</strong>:</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear; occasionally required to stand, and/or walk.
