This role is critical to our initiative of unifying multiple controller platforms into a single Soft PLC platform, enabling advanced control features, improving system performance, and reducing overall operational costs.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Control Engineer will be responsible for migrating legacy applications to the new platform, supporting platform integration, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance reliability and scalability. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic technology initiatives that directly impact product performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Accountabilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead application migration activities for legacy control systems to the unified Soft PLC platform.</li>\n<li>Provide technical expertise to ensure reliable integration, testing, and performance optimization.</li>\n<li>Support cross-functional teams including platform development, service, and production to enable seamless deployment and scalability.</li>\n<li>Support the migration of legacy control applications to the unified Soft PLC platform.</li>\n<li>Work with platform development and product engineering teams to create and monitor migration plans for assigned applications.</li>\n<li>Coordinate changes to control logic, configuration, and system documentation to ensure smooth integration.</li>\n<li>Participate in testing, validation, and deployment activities to ensure performance and reliability. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the implementation of advanced control features and system enhancements.</li>\n<li>Work with cross-functional teams to create and monitor development and rollout plans for new platform capabilities.</li>\n<li>Coordinate changes to control architecture, firmware, and network configurations.</li>\n<li>Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p>To thrive in this role, you should bring:<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems, Automation Engineering, or a related field</li>\n<li>Minimum 3–5 years of experience in control systems engineering, industrial automation, or a related discipline.</li>\n<li>Proven experience with PLC/Soft PLC platforms, control logic programming, and system integration.</li>\n<li>Experience in application migration, platform modernization, or advanced control feature implementation is an asset.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Bacnet) and system testing methodologies.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and contribute to large-scale engineering initiatives.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Industrial Automation &amp; Control Systems\n<ul>\n<li>PLC Programming background utilizing Ladder logic, Functional Block, Structured Texts.</li>\n<li>HMI Design &amp; Development</li>\n<li>Control Logic Design &amp; Troubleshooting</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Network and Communication protocols\n<ul>\n<li>Industrial Networking: Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Bacnet</li>\n<li>Network Troubleshooting &amp; Configuration</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>HVAC industry experience is an asset</li>\n<li>Knowledge of different control algorithm and model is an asset (PID control)<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Soft Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The capability to simplify complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.</li>\n<li>Team-oriented leadership skills with a proactive approach.</li>\n<li>An ability to communicate openly and authentically in all situations.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?</span></p>\n<p>By joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology while upholding Armstrong's commitment to sustainability.
