    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><strong>Ultium Cells Overview:</strong></p><p>Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.</p><p>The Ultium cell partners include LG Energy Solutions; the world&rsquo;s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells in the world and General Motors a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.</p><p><strong>Position Description:</strong></p><p>A Production Supervisor (TN) ensures production and quality goals are achieved through teamwork and clear communication. Train and develop Operators for success in the team&rsquo;s goals and for future opportunities. Create a positive and highly effective working environment based on mutual respect and a shared goal of being the number one supplier to our customers. Evaluate and update the production schedule, overseeing quality control and ensuring products are produced on time, and projects completed within the deadline. Using Safety and Environment, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and cost to accomplish essential job duties.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations</li><li>Be a deep-skilled operator/subject matter expert of assigned equipment</li><li>Ensure equipment is properly maintained to meet high equipment efficiency targets</li><li>Support Team Members and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods</li><li>Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with other leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments</li><li>Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals</li><li>Support and train team to Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions</li><li>Support employee training through demonstrating equipment operations, safety procedures and quality expectations</li><li>Support and facilitate team-based problem solving</li><li>Observe key performance indicators of work area; monitor gauges, dials, and equipment performance other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards</li><li>Confer with leadership and team to resolve work force concerns and to employee engagement</li><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp;</span>Interpret specifications, part and assembly drawings, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers</li><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp;</span>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp;</span>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent combination of education and experience preferred</li><li>Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, with a strong understanding of complex production processes and techniques; experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing a plus</li><li>Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe working environment</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office applications and manufacturing software systems</li><li>Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural, team environment</li><li>Strong organizational and leadership abilities</li><li>Self-motivated with a results-driven approach</li><li>Strong understanding of quality processes</li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills</li><li>Proven problem-solving skills</li><li>Must be able to speak, read and write English</li><li>Ability to work in a collaborative team environment</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Total Rewards Information: &nbsp;</strong></p><p>We offer market-competitive compensation including base pay and incentive compensation opportunities based on the achievement of Company goals. &nbsp;We offer employees paid time off to refresh and recharge.
