Headquartered in Akron, Ohio, FirstEnergy includes one of the nation's largest investor-owned electric systems, more than 24,000 miles of transmission lines that connect the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions, and a regulated generating fleet with a total capacity of more than 3,500 megawatts.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><i><strong>About&nbsp;the&nbsp;Opportunity</strong></i></p>\n<p>This&nbsp;is an&nbsp;open&nbsp;position&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corporation &nbsp;</p>\n<p>This is a position within FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.<i><strong> located at the Akron-Canton airport (KCAK</strong></i>).&nbsp; We are a FAR Part 91, ISBAO Stage III certified flight department operating turbine powered large cabin fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The Aircraft Maintenance Technician reports to the Manager of Flight Maintenance and will be responsible for performing maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance program.&nbsp; The selected individual will also be required to have knowledge of and work in compliance with the FARs, company values and department policies.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities Include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work within Flight Operations to maintain a culture with a high-level safety and customer service</li>\n <li>Maximize aircraft Safey, Operational Availability and Dispatch Reliability by performing pre-post flight inspections, scheduled and non-routine maintenance on company aircraft and equipment</li>\n <li>Create and manage return to service paperwork in digital format</li>\n <li>Ordering, receiving aircraft parts and consumables. Processing returns and related paperwork</li>\n <li>Perform towing, marshalling, and fueling aircraft</li>\n <li>Launching and recovery of aircraft.&nbsp; Includes handling passenger luggage</li>\n <li>Perform routine cleaning of aircraft, equipment and facility</li>\n <li>Operating and maintaining the fuel farm</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Qualifications Include:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school graduate or GED required.&nbsp; Bachelor’s degree preferred</li>\n <li>Valid US Driver's License</li>\n <li>Valid US Passport</li>\n <li>Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.&nbsp; IA preferred</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</li>\n <li>Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant work experience required. Relevant work experience includes experience maintaining multi turbine engine fixed wing and or rotor wing aircraft</li>\n <li>Falcon 900LX and Bell 429 helicopter experience preferred</li>\n <li>Experience maintaining Honeywell Primus Epic and Garmin avionics preferred</li>\n <li>Strong problem solving and communication skills&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with people across the department and company.&nbsp; Strong team player</li>\n <li>Experience with Veryon and CAMP</li>\n <li>Ability to work a rotating day, evening shift, weekends, holidays and after hours call outs</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 70 pounds&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding and man lifts</li>\n <li>Ability to perform elevated work with fall protection</li>\n <li>Ability to work in restricted or confined spaces&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must have a thorough knowledge of and ability to demonstrate industry safety practices&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Available for occasional travel to support offsite maintenance and events.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Benefits, Compensation &amp; Workforce Diversity</strong><br><br>\n At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
