Job Title: Mechanic Tech Position Number: MECH T 001 Location: Williamsburg, VA Worksite: NMRLC Cheatham Annex Travel: As required Status: Full-Time, Contingent Upon Contract Award Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain Government background investigation and CAC Date Added: April 9, 2026 Job Summary: The Heavy Mobile Mechanic Technician performs advanced inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and vehicles to support operational and logistical requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment. Diagnose engine, hydraulic, transmission, and mechanical failures. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Operate commercial vehicles and trailers in support of maintenance operations. Utilize technical manuals and diagnostic tools to complete repairs. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation. Comply with safety and environmental standards. Work independently or as part of a maintenance team. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications and Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical technician. Specialized Experience: Demonstrated experience repairing heavy-duty engines, hydraulic systems, and vehicle components. Certifications: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and ASE certifications relevant to heavy equipment. Preferred Qualifications: None specified. EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
