To learn more about Mountain View Academy <a href=\"http://www.nhaschools.com/schools/mountain-view-academy/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><u>click here</u></a>.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Why Choose Mountain View Academy:</strong></p><ul><li>Academically outperforms the local districts.</li><li>Personalized development and support through mentor teachers and dean model.</li><li>Access to a best-in-class curriculum with advanced instructional tools and resources.</li><li>Colleagues you enjoy working with to serve students.</li><li>A culture that values support, transparency, respect, and recognition.</li><li>High parent and community involvement.</li><li>Ensures a safe learning environment with internal and external cameras.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans.</li><li>Conduct assessments of motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor skills for students referred for special education evaluation to help determine eligibility for services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in the IEP/Section 504 process, providing input on assessment measures, intervention strategies, and student progress.</li><li>Collaborate as a member of the special education team to deliver comprehensive services to students with disabilities.</li><li>Consult with teachers, school administrators, parents, and relevant stakeholders regarding students’ physical, motor, and sensory development.</li><li>Work closely with teachers to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom environment and support classroom objectives through therapy programs.</li><li>Provide training to relevant individuals on effective methods to assist students in mainstream settings.</li><li>Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust occupational therapy interventions in collaboration with school staff and parents.</li><li>Utilize treatment strategies involving physical, sensory, manual, creative, and recreational activities to support student development.</li><li>Design adaptive equipment and devices for individual students and classroom use.</li><li>Maintain an accurate record of student caseload requirements and update the Special Education Administrator on any changes.</li><li>Maintain a detailed schedule and service logs, and track student progress toward therapy goals.</li><li>Demonstrate professionalism in handling confidential matters and materials.</li><li>Pursue ongoing professional development to stay informed about current practices and research in occupational therapy.</li><li>Participate in school initiatives such as screening programs to support student development.</li><li>Attend parent-teacher meetings as needed to discuss student progress and therapy plans.</li><li>Perform other job related duties as assigned by the building&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;principal</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Master's Degree required (OR Bachelor's degree acceptable if completed degree and LARA before 12/31/2006)</li><li>School OT Special Services license issued by the CDE and the Colorado DORA</li><li>If candidate does not have a CDE license, they can enroll into a program and apply for a Temporary Educator Elgibility license. The pay range listed is just one component of NHA's total compensation package.
