To perform the job properly, the Assembly Technician I must have basic product knowledge, an understanding of production procedures, and ability to use common hand and power tools. The position requires self-direction, focus, and a strong desire to work within a team environment.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assemble fundamental components in accordance to the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.</li><li>Assemble entry-level products to meet established standards for quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications consistently and correctly.</li><li>Communicate with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.</li><li>Participate in the implementation of process improvements.</li><li>Participate in maintaining and suggesting safety practices and procedures.</li><li>Maintain an orderly work environment.</li><li>Maintain system accuracy and record transactions in ERP operating system.</li><li>Participate as a team member to achieve goals.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Associates Degree in Fluid Power, Mechatronics, or related field strongly preferred. Certified Fluid Power Specialist, preferred.</li><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>1 year of relevant work experience, preferred.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude.</li><li>Familiarity with hand and power tools.</li><li>Strong sense of urgency and basic ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer.</li><li>Detail oriented to provide the highest level of quality.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Environment:&nbsp;</strong>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential job functions of this job.
