    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineering support of 24/5 H<sub>2</sub>Se Process operations, providing technical support to production personnel in identifying and resolving issues.</li>\n <li>Full support of all DH process equipment, support equipment, facilities, chemistry and maintenance activities.</li>\n <li>Employ hands-on engineering and troubleshooting techniques to address production challenges promptly and effectively.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement high-quality solutions, evaluating success based on safe operation, operator satisfaction, cost savings, and enhancements in capacity and efficiency.</li>\n <li>Lead continuous process improvement initiatives through a strong presence on the production floor, leveraging technical process knowledge and data analysis.</li>\n <li>Focus on optimizing process efficiency, reducing operational costs, and minimizing waste.</li>\n <li>Foster effective communication with operations, maintenance, leadership and MZP engineering personnel.</li>\n <li>Oversee the tracking of raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and quantity standards are met, collaborating with other departments involved in processing MPZ materials.</li>\n <li>Establish and maintain process standardization, operational stability, and quality assurance programs in line with continuous improvement principles and ISO 9001 compliance.</li>\n <li>Support and manage projects and modifications related to process parameters, growth conditions, reaction rates and material quality, while meeting PSM requirements as well as compliance with all applicable OSHA, DEP and EPA regulations.</li>\n <li>Must be able to participate as a member of the ERT (Emergency Response Team).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field required.</li>\n <li>Experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing is preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with and knowledge of DH process equipment is preferred..</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong technical trouble shooting, and problem resolution required.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and safety programs required.</li>\n <li>Must be comfortable with a hands-on approach, able to support trouble shooting efforts in an industrial environment.</li>\n <li>Must be able to understand and meet regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of batch process reaction kinetics desired.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Working Conditions</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supports a 24-hr. operation.</li>\n <li>Involves the handling and storage of toxic substances requiring significant attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Regular exposure to dust, fumes, heat, noise and cold.</li>\n <li>Respirator, supplied air and SCBA use required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Standing or sitting up to 12 hours per day (typically 8 hours)</li>\n <li>Lifting (Medium Work – Exerting 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally)</li>\n <li>Pushing/Pulling (Medium Work – Exerting 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally)</li>\n <li>Must be able to climb, bend, reach, push and pull regularly.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work on elevated surfaces such as ladders or mechanical lifts.</li>\n <li>Must be able to wear required equipment during the performance of specified production and maintenance operations, as well as incident response.</li>\n <li>Must be able to function mentally and physically while wearing safety equipment for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Ability to participate as an active member of the site Emergency Response Team is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Safety Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.</p>\n<p>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to wear proper PPE including safety glasses, goggle, splash shields, steel toe/metatarsal shoes, long pants, sleeved uniform, and hearing protection.</li>\n <li>Must be able to wear dust mask, respirator, or supplied air for extended periods.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Pre-employment and annual screening requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>PFT + respirator Pre-employment physical.</li>\n <li>PFT + respirator annual physicals (Emergency Response Team)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Quality and Environmental Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<p>Due to inventory quantities of some highly hazardous materials, MPZ is covered by OSHA standard for Process Safety Management, as well as EPA’s Risk Management program.&nbsp; All MPZ personnel are required to understand the importance of following all operating procedures to maintain regulatory compliance with these programs.</p>\n<p>Coherent meets the ISO 9001 quality standards.
