    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Shift Time: </strong>8:00am - 4:30pm</p><p><strong><u>Job Summary:</u></strong></p><p>The Pre-Production Technician is primarily responsible for ensuring that every order that leaves the department is 100% ready with accurate and up to date production information ready for processing.&nbsp;Develop strong customer relations by ensuring that time sensitive jobs are delivered in an appropriate manner.</p><p><br><strong><u>Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p><strong>Data Entry</strong></p><p><i><strong>Editing</strong></i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li>Ensure all Rx orders are entered properly into DVI through accurate, consistent and efficient editing procedures.&nbsp; Allocate and scan orders to the proper areas once completed.</li><li>Receive all orders that have been traced, provide accurate post-edit verification, and forward orders to proper areas once completed.</li><li><p>Ensure that breakage levels in pre-production and tracing/reprocessing meet standards by communication of repetitive errors found to management</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><i><strong>DVI:</strong></i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li><p>Enter lens information into DVI Software</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Enter/modify pick list/surface lens information.</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><i><strong>Receiving frames:</strong></i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li>Collecting packages from shipping, opening boxes, sorting for receiving.</li><li>Receiving frames in DVI software by matching the frame information in the system</li><li>Inspect frames for any defect or broken parts</li><li><p>Ensure that all frames are received to correct orders</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><i><strong>Receiving lenses:</strong></i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li>Collect lenses received from outsource labs and scan to receive in the system.</li><li>Matching work tickets with the lenses and sending to correct stations in the lab (shipping, finishing…).</li><li><p>Placing stickers and ensure all rush orders will be prioritized.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><i><strong>Sorting:</strong></i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li>Pick up frames from tracing and place them in correct bin numbers</li><li>Ensure all binned lenses are in corrects locations</li><li>Collecting frames and lenses and place them in trays and send to Finishing department.</li><li><p>Ensure all frames and lenses are in correct trays and all jobs are scanned to the correct stations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><i><strong>Expedite:</strong></i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li>Identify time sensitive jobs/orders and work to ensure that they are escalated through the manufacturing process.</li><li>Reay information back to the Customer or Customer Care team out the status of time sensitive jobs.</li><li>All of the tasks above, plus any other tasks as specified by the supervisor.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;\"><li>High school graduate is the minimum education requirement</li><li>Must be able to work in a fast paced high volume environment.</li><li>Keen attention to details, fast accurate use of computers and data entry.</li><li>Must be able to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency, accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>Experience that requires alpha-numerical recognition, interpretation and execution is an asset.</li><li>Must be well organized, have excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities, and have a heightened sense of urgency.</li><li>Continuous learning is a large part of this position, and therefore ability to retain varying degrees of information is required (significant use of memory)</li><li>Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).</li><li>Must be able to work in a team atmosphere as well as an individual with minimal supervision.</li><li>Standing, walking, reaching and bending constantly throughout the day.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to lift approximately 25 lbs.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p>",
