As a link between construction workers and project managers, the Foreman ensures the team adheres to building codes, plans, and safety regulations while maintaining the high standards expected within the industry.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervise and direct daily work activities of field crews, including laborers, carpenters, ironworkers, and equipment operators.</li>\n <li>Emphasize safety, quality, and production.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all field personnel use proper safety equipment, including PPE, shoring, and fall protection.</li>\n <li>Be aware of multiple construction activities, including employees, subcontractors, moving heavy equipment, and other potential construction hazards.</li>\n <li>Through knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work being performed</li>\n <li>Communicate with the Superintendent or Project Manager on project progress, issues, and resource needs</li>\n <li>Coordinate with subcontractors required to complete the job.</li>\n <li>Attend job site safety and progress meetings as required.</li>\n <li>Responsible for daily electronic reporting of timecards, diaries, job site photos, quantities, safety observations, and JHAs.</li>\n <li>Review daily production and cost analyses to meet the budget and schedule.</li>\n <li>Review all contracts, project documentation, and plans to ensure the work is built to specific specifications.</li>\n <li>Schedule state and local inspections required to complete the work.</li>\n <li>Ensure the work meets proper quality control standards.</li>\n <li>Oversee field personnel, schedules, and construction operations.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand project-specific documents, including schedules, plans, and specifications.</li>\n <li>Hold daily huddles to confirm that all crew members are aware of goals, production, and specific job site safety requirements.</li>\n <li>Keep clear and direct communication with crew members, superintendents, clients, client representatives & office staff.</li>\n <li>Be able to operate heavy equipment, use tools, and assist with labor as required to complete the job.</li>\n <li>Daily labor, equipment, haul & production monitoring to meet budgets.</li>\n <li>Manage and evaluate heavy equipment, tools, and materials as needed for the specific job or assigned task.</li>\n <li>Ensure equipment is inspected & maintained daily. Schedule maintenance as needed.</li>\n <li>Ensure operators properly maintain & thoroughly clean equipment and hand tools at the end of each day.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the heavy construction industry is preferred.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and motivate crew members.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.Understanding safety regulations, DOT requirements, and quality control procedures.Must be willing to obtain and maintain all certifications and required training (CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30, etc.)Knowledge of bridge, highway, and/or concrete rehabilitation preferredValid driver's license.May be required to work extended hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, etc.Spanish-speaking skills are highly preferred to communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders effectively.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reports to: Project SuperintendentLocation: Houston, TX</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Comprehensive benefits offered to eligible employees including medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; FSA; short- and long-term disability; identity theft protection; 401(k); employee assistance program; and paid time off.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Posillico Civil, Inc. is committed to maintaining a working environment that promotes teamwork and that is free of any and all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
