CSB of Middle Georgia is located in Dublin, Georgia, and the agency currently serves residents of Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Laurens, Montgomery, Pulaski, Telfair, Treutlen, Wheeler, and Wilcox counties in Georgia; and in our Ogeechee Behavioral Health Division, serving residents of Burke, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, and Screven counties in Georgia. We value Quality, Professionalism, Person-Centered, Recovery, Teamwork, Improvement, Accountability, Management of Practicing Information, Wellness, and Financial Stability.</em></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>LOCATION: Mount Vernon, GA&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>The Substance Abuse (SA) Counselor provides counseling, support, and case management services to individuals experiencing challenges related to substance use and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. This role focuses on helping individuals develop recovery goals, build coping skills, and access community resources that support long-term stability and wellness.</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Responsibilities of the Substance Abuse Counselor:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Provide direct and collateral substance abuse services in a group setting, per program standards, utilizing evidence-based interventions.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Complete services consistent with the requirements outlined by CSBMG, DBHDD, HFR, and applicable entities, which includes documentation to be completed as outlined per CSBMG policy.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Provide support to substance abuse clients and assist with recovery resources.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Provide individual sessions as needed.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Complete all documentation in a timely manner according to standards.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Obtain and maintain credentials and provide proof to supervisor and HR.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Facilitate Substance Abuse Groups.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Collaborate with the court system and probation officer when necessary and with proof of release of information.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Attend all supervision requirements for your certification.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Completes various other duties as assigned, such as, but not limited to:</strong><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Group</strong></li><li><strong>SA Intakes</strong></li></ul></li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u><br>&nbsp;Here are some of the things we require:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>High School Diploma/GED Equivalent</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Seeking or willing to obtain Addiction Counselor certification (CCIT)</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Valid Georgia Driver&rsquo;s License</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Effective verbal and written communication skills</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly</strong></li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Here&rsquo;s what would put you over the top:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Bachelor&#39;s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, etc.)</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Advanced Addiction Counselor certification (CADCI, CACI, CADCII, or CACII)</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>experience working with Women&rsquo;s Treatment and Recovery Services (WTRS)</strong></li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Benefits of Working with CSB of Middle GA:</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>As a member of our team, you will enjoy our total rewards package to help secure your financial future and preserve your health and well-being, including:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Medical, Dental &amp;
