Focusing on respect, accountability, integrity, stewardship and excellence throughout the experience.</p><p>Requirements</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: </p><p>· Follow all infection control procedures  </p><p>· Administer daily care in an efficient safe manner:  </p><p>      - AM and PM care  </p><p>      - Assist with ambulation </p><p>      - Assist with diets/special nourishments  </p><p>      - Change bed linens as needed </p><p>· Perform duties safely and accurately, documenting results appropriately as directed by RN: </p><p>      - Skin care </p><p>      - Collect specimens</p><p>      - Intake and output </p><p>      - Vital signs </p><p>      - Enemas </p><p>· Observe patient’s condition and report changes or concerns to the RN timely </p><p>· Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of patients </p><p>· Answer call lights promptly by regulatory standard </p><p>· Assist other staff in completing their assignments as requested </p><p>· Ensure all safety measures are in place per plan of care </p><p>· Assure patient/facility laundry is appropriately cleaned and stocked </p><p>· Assist with cleaning patient rooms, as needed per checklist </p><p>· Other duties as assigned by nurse, within scope of responsibility, as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing </p><p><br/></p><p> </p><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  </p><p>· Knowledge of and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care </p><p>· Ability to work on an interdisciplinary team </p><p>· Ability to work a flexible schedule </p><p>· Willingness to work with patients/families regardless of race, color, creed, age or sexual orientation </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  </p><p>Education: </p><p>· High School diploma required </p><p>· Graduate of a Certified Assistant Training Program I </p><p> </p><p>Licensures & Certifications: (if applicable):  </p><p>· Current listing on NC State Registry </p><p>· CPR Certification </p><p><br/></p><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  </p><p>· Visual acuity to read written documentation and computer tasks </p><p>· Ability to sit extended periods of time and perform administrative tasks </p><p>· Ability to stand, bend and lift an average of 30 pounds </p><p>· Manual dexterity with the ability to manipulate office equipment and keyboard for extended periods of time </p><p>· Ability to walk, squat, kneel, climb and balance </p><p><br/></p><p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  </p><p>· Must have an automobile with required insurance coverage and state driver’s license </p><p>· PRN employees must complete one 12-hour shift in 90 days </p>",
