    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Opportunity: </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>BluMetric is looking for full time Water / Wastewater Treatment Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for the operation of various filtering and chemical treatment processes and maintaining the water and wastewater treatment plant and facilities in accordance with federal, provincial / territorial, and municipal legislation, policies, and standards. The candidate will also be responsible for trouble shooting and adjusting the Wastewater Treatment processes as required. The ideal candidate would supervise Plant Operators &amp; Trainees and be responsible for safety, quality, and efficiency of all employees on their shift. This position would be responsible for some weekend coverage.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity to join an experienced team, working on large-scale projects in Yellowknife and the Territories. This is a future vacancy with the organization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment in chemical dosing and reactor tanks and water filtration clarifier to regulate the treatment and distribution of mine effluent.</li>\n<li>Complete daily operations monitoring sheets, that include water analytics and flow.</li>\n<li>Consistent and accurate operation of chemical dosing systems, and proper performance of clarification and filtration equipment.</li>\n<li>Regular systems checks to ensure equipment is working correctly and accurately.</li>\n<li>Collect and test samples of effluent, employing analysis standards and testing equipment, to ensure treated water meets standards.</li>\n<li>Communicate with coworkers, other employees and upper management regarding operations, plant conditions and other essential information.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with upper management to determine the best practices, equipment, upgrades and other operational aspects to contribute to ecologically friendly, cost-effective impacts of the facility’s water treatment.</li>\n<li>Supervise and roster Plant Operators and Trainees according to work schedules.</li>\n<li>Support environmental department with routine sampling as time allows.</li>\n<li>Complete reports summarizing treatment, operations maintenance, and efficiencies of the water treatment plant.</li>\n<li>Work will be conducted at a mine site near Yellowknife.</li>\n<li>On-call may be required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Qualifications, Education, and Skills:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 Years of water treatment experience or similar transferable experience. Maintenance and operation experience related to Pumps, piping, mixers and other water &amp; wastewater treatment equipment (Hands on experience is an asset).</li>\n<li>Level 2 or higher Water Treatment Operator Certification required</li>\n<li>Previous supervisor or lead hand experience is an asset.</li>\n<li>Experience working on a mine site is an asset.</li>\n<li>Must be willing to do shiftwork (weekends and evenings included).</li>\n<li>A valid drivers license (may be asked to provide a drivers abstract (3 years)).</li>\n<li>WSCC Level 1 or Level 2 certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About BluMetric Environmental Inc.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>BluMetric Environmental Inc. (BluMetric) is a publicly traded water technology and environmental engineering firm.
